Uncovering Your Family History: Researching Immigration Records at NYPL

ellis islandThis Wednesday, May 13 at 3:00pm, the staff of the NYPL offers the opportunity to discover the immense genealogical resources available to users at the New York Public Library. This class offers an introductory exploration of passenger lists and naturalization records, their history, and the history Castle Garden, Ellis Island, and the Port of New York as a site of immigration to the United States.

The class will be held in the South Court Classroom A of the New York Public Library’s Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street, New York City.
