While many genealogy groups are on hiatus for the summer, the New York Public Library is continuing its genealogy programming, with one of its most popular programs tomorrow, Thursday, August 7, 2014, beginning at 2:30pm in South Court Classroom A, in the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, located at Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street, New York City.

“Irish Genealogy Resources: Finding Records for an Irish Ancestor” will detail the available resources in NYPL’s large free public collection of genealogical tools. The class introduces some key resources to help participants find information on an Irish ancestor. Participants will learn about print and electronic sources of information and work on developing a research plan for genealogical quests.
