Immigrant Nation Launch — April 22–23, 2014

An upcoming event at Ellis Island celebrates our family histories. Immigrant Nation is a two- day event aimed at sharing the unique experiences, histories and stories of our immigrant ancestors. Immigrant Nation, a first-of-its-kind multimedia project designed to capture, share, and spread these family stories in powerful new ways. At the event, participants will have the chance to record your own personal narrative, participate in interactive discussions, and view a series of short documentary films that capture just a few of the remarkable immigrant stories have surfaced so far through the work of the Immigrant Nation project.

Explore Ellis Island—and your own story—like never before, and leave with new tools and ideas for how to share your unique immigrant experience with the world.

This is a free event, and a limited number of free ferry tickets are available for participants.
